You can create up to five timers

Directions

Cut one large bunch of broccoli into 3-inch spears, toss with 3 smashed cloves garlic, a pinch of red pepper flakes and 3 tablespoons sesame oil. Spread the spears on a baking sheet and roast at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Top the spears with a handful of sliced scallions and 2 teaspoons soy sauce.

    This was a great recipe! I was nervous, after reading previous posts, that the garlic would burn and turn bitter, but I had no problem! I used cooking spray to coat the pan, tossed the garlic together with the sesame oil and broccoli in a bowl before putting it on a roasting pan and I was good to go! A delicious and easy alternative to our regular steamed broccoli!

    Great recipe, but would suggest you mix a little sugar w/olive oil, salt and pepper and toss broccoli with this before roasting. Sugar helps it carmelize. Turn over half way through cooking. Also, cut larger chunks of broccoli so it doesn't cook too fast and get limp.
