You know, some people LIKE their tea unsweetened. But for those of you that do... try adding honey or a syrup or an artificial sweetener if you prefer that kind of thing. She's more or less providing a list of spices that you can use to make a chai-tea smoothie and then you can adjust it to your preference. Might even try adding a type of fruit to it that you think would complement the spices. I'm thinking apples would work nicely. Or maybe even pumpkin.

As is, I would give this zero stars. It's not a creamy smoothie, it's icy, and there is NO sweetness. It is bitter from the combination of bitter spices. The only ingredient in this recipe with any sweetness is the yogurt. So, either choose a super sweet yogurt, or add sweetness. I added some Splenda and a lot of agave nectar, which sweetened it up nicely. I still threw most of it out because it just wasn't that good.

I luv it. I made it with my almond milk and heated with my espresso steamer, I added a little maple syrup for sweetness and tomorrow I am going to add it to my coffee, I mixed the tea and spices together and added 1 tsp to my drink and it's wonderful, just like the chai tea latte from starbucks: Thanks for the tip, i've been looking for the chai tea mix at the store and it's got a lot of sugar this is sugar free you can add sweetness with maple syrup since I an vegan i don't use white sugar. Excellant
