Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 pound chicken tenders
  • 2/3 cup barbecue sauce (recommended: Bullseye Original)
  • Flour, for dusting surface
  • 1 (13.8-ounce) package pizza dough (recommended: Pillsbury Classic)
  • 3/4 cup shredded Gouda
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 3/4 cup shredded Parmesan
  • 1/2 medium red onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro leaves

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken tenders and saute until golden brown, about 12 minutes. Remove from heat. When chicken is cool enough to handle, dice chicken to yield a little over 1 cup. In a small bowl, toss chicken with 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce. Set aside.

On a floured surface, roll out dough and place on a greased sheet pan. Shape to fill the sheet pan, about a 15 by 10-inch rectangle. Spread remaining barbecue sauce evenly over pizza dough. Sprinkle Gouda, mozzarella, Parmesan, onions, and chicken over top. Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese bubbles. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro and cut into pieces.

This was my first pizza I've ever made!! I used wheat dough that I got at Trader Joe's! I changed the amount of cheese tho,... I used more gouda than mozzarella! Everyone loved it!! I would definitely make this more often!!Read more

    Interesting but Good

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
I like simple pizza so I only topped my pizza with cheese, chicken, BBQ sauce and an apple.. I made a small personal pizza... and the pizza came out great, I just shrank the amount of ingredients. I used a Granny Smith and after it was baked, it had a weird taste. i will try this again but with a green MacIntosh. Overall, I would cook this for my friends.Read more

Used my own wheat crust recipe and rolled it out super thin. Used purple onions, and added some mushrooms and it was... perfect. Kids couldn't eat enough of it.Read more

    Flavorful and Easy

I made this as a "snackertizer" cut up into smaller appetizer portions, it was a huge hit! I used my own pizza dough... however, I tried one of Sandra's recipes with the rolled canned pizza dough in the past, and I hated the texture and taste of it. (sorry Sandra) However, that being said, everything else was from her recipe. It was very easy to make, and definitely a "keeper". Next time will be for a main course kind of meal, it was definitely hearty enough. Read more
