Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium sweet onion, very finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 cans red kidney beans, drained

  • Minced chives, for garnish

Directions

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add onion and saute until softened. Crumble in the ground beef and cook until browned. Add beans and marinara sauce and combine thoroughly. I love this recipe because not only is it quick and easy but you can personalize it. I substitute with ground turkey, add peppers, and use a chunky tomato marinara so you can see the pieces of tomato. I made it for a party at work and I handed the servings out in disposable containers so people could microwave it and add their toppings. A total hit!! Sandra is the best.
