Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups instant rice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt-free all-purpose seasoning
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 4-ounce packages sliced smoked salmon
  • Sesame seeds (optional)
  • Soy sauce, for dipping

Directions

In a small saucepan over high heat, bring the rice and 1 1/2 cups water to a boil. Reduce the heat; cover and simmer 5 minutes, or until all of the water is absorbed. Stir in the vinegar, sugar, all-purpose seasoning and salt.

On a cutting board, separate the salmon slices and cut into 1 1/2-inch-wide strips. Place 2 teaspoons of the rice at one end of each salmon strip and roll up tightly. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired. Serve the sushi bites with the soy sauce for dipping.

This hot mess of a recipe should NOT be called sushi. Real sushi does not involve instant rice or all-purpose seasoning.

I really liked this recipe. They were easy to put together and they look and taste great! I followed the directions exactly without the sesame seeds, Delicious!

Needs a LOT of help. Truly not worth the time! I "doctored" it up a bit, sliced scallions and garlic in the soy sauce. I would definitely spice up the rice -- add some scallions, garlic, etc. I bought 6 paks of the salmon and was able to make approximately 30 rolls. Skip this one!
