Ingredients

  • 3 (3/4 to 1 pound) pork tenderloins
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup dry sherry
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons minced fresh rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon minced shallots
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger

Directions

Trim the tenderloins of all fat and silverskin. Place them in a shallow baking dish large enough to hold them without crowding.

Combine the soy sauce, sherry, honey, vinegar, oil, and orange juice in a medium bowl, whisking until well blended. Stir in the rosemary, shallots, and ginger. Pour the mixture over the tenderloins. Cover with plastic wrap and allow to marinate at room temperature for 2 hours.

Preheat an outdoor grill or indoor grill pan.

Remove the pork from the marinade, shaking off any excess. Place the tenderloins on the grill and cook, turning frequently, for about 18 minutes, or until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part reads 155 degrees F. Transfer to a platter and allow the meat to rest for 10 minutes before carving.

Meanwhile, place the marinade in a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes, or until slightly thickened.

Slice the pork into 1/4 inch-thick slices, spoon the hot marinade over the pork. Serve with a tossed salad.

    minimal effort for great results!

This is a recipe that can most likely be made from your pantry, which is key when you are strapped for time! I had to... substitute Marsalla wine for the Sherry which worked out fine. I like the idea of adding minced garlic too, so will definitely try next time. I only marinated the meat for about 1 hour and it was plenty tender and tasty, but I did pierce the meat few times, to help draw in the marinade. With teens and hubby liking it, it's definitely a keeper. Went great with a butternut squash/lentil/arugula salad. http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Spiced-Pumpkin-Lentil-and-Goat-Cheese-Salad-355212Read more

This is one great recipe. The only thing I added was a teaspoon crushed garlic. Otherwise, you cannot go wrong with this. ... I always cook it on the grill, medium-medium high. Delish.Read more

    Fantastic every time!

I have cooked this on the grill, and I have pan-seared it and finished it in the oven. Either way, it's great! The pork is... super tender and the flavor is wonderful. The reduction sauce is also good on top of rice that I serve on the side. In lieu of the rice wine vinegar, I have used apple cider vinegar once and wine vinegar another time. It's the best pork I've ever had. Read more

    Great recipe!!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This recipe was very simple and easy. I had to make a few substitutions because I didn't have all of the ingredients. I used... worcestershire sause instead of soy and apple vineger insead of rice vinegar. I also did not have any sherry. But the meat was very tender and moist. Excellent dinner! I will definitely make this one again.Read more

    A little too sweet

Rated: 3 stars out of 5
The recipe as written is okay. My husband and I found it a little to sweet for our tastes. If I made it again, I would... definitely cut back on the honey.Read more
