Before making sausages became a hipster hobby, Jody Maroni took to the Venice Beach boardwalk in the late 1970s with his novel meat blends. Soon his unusual sausages — including the popular Louisiana Hot Links and Chicken Tequila — garnered a loyal following that sparked a multi-locale expansion. To this day, crowds still flock to his Venice Beach spot for sausages, hot dogs, burgers and fries.
