Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 teaspoon Cascabel chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ancho chili powder
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1/2 pound unsalted butter, softened
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
Directions
Heat olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and cook until soft. Add cascable and ancho powder and cook for 1 minute, let cool. Fold onion mixture into softened butter, add lime juice and season with salt and pepper to taste. Place in a bowl and refrigerate until firm.
- 8 Maine lobster tails
- Olive Oil
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
Preheat grill. Brush lobster tails with oil and season with salt and pepper. Place meat side down and grill 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Remove from heat and top immediately with butter.

Loved it, great compound butter recipe, especially for a boy from NEW YORK CITY... get a rope.. Seriously, it was quite lovely. We had the lobster tails with smashed purple potatoes and fresh Florida green beans. It was a lovely meal, and we think the Cascabel chili butter will work well with many entrees.
