This is by far the best smoothie recipe we have made, it was delicious, cold, creamy and nicely thick. We made ours with fresh blueberries and strawberries, which we chopped and froze overnight. And as far as using whole milk and yogurt, this adds up to 8g of fat per serving, which is certainly not unreasonable for anyone (approximately the equivalent amount of fat in two eggs.

Whole milk is full of fat and I would never promote a "healthy" smoothie that is made from whole milk. If you want this smoothie to be something healthy for you and your family, make it with plain Greek yogurt and add a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Swap the whole milk for fat free milk and you will then have a tasty healthy smoothie unlike the so-called "healthy" smoothie promoted here. Oh and please don't add two tablespoons of honey! Honey is sugar...just the same as regular white table sugar. So, if using fruit does not make this smoothie sweet enough for you, add a small amount of truvia or some other type of sweetener.
