Ingredients

  • 5 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup espresso
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped into small pieces
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Directions

Heat the milk in a medium pot over high heat until hot, but not boiling. Reduce the heat to very low and add the espresso, chocolate, sugar, and vanilla. Using a whisk, stir the mixture until the chocolate has melted. Continue to whisk the chocolate mixture until frothy every few minutes for about 8 minutes, until the chocolate has completely dissolved into the milk. Pour into mugs and serve immediately.

    AMAZING and very SIMPLE

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This was sooooooo good. I actually changed the recipe up a litlte bit and used milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate,... because I'm not really a fan of dark chocolate. I'm sure it would've been amazing with dark chocolate too, but what made it so amazing was the creamy consistency of the drink. It wasn't like drinking a typical hot chocolate which is usually very liquidy. It was almost like drinking a cup of melted chocolate. The espresso adds a really nice touch. I actually made half the recipe since it was only for two people. I definitely recommend this drink for a nice and chilly night. OH and it's very simple to make. Read more

This was the perfect end to a meal. Creamy, smooth and oh so chocolatey! I halfed it as it was just me and my bf and it was... too much for both of us. Just a little goes a long way. Top with some little marshmallows and its a great sweet treat.Read more
