Ingredients

  • 1/4 (about 1 pound) honeydew melon, peeled and seeded, cut into 1-inch pieces (to yield about 2 cups)
  • 3 cups crushed ice
  • 1/2 packed cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 1/2 cups ginger ale
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Directions

Add the melon, ice, mint, ginger ale, and sugar to a blender. Pulse until the mixture becomes slushy. Pour into 4 glasses and serve immediately.

    Loved it...very refreshing but it was a little too sweet. I used 3/4 the amount of sugar and still found it to be too much. I'll definitely make again using just a little less sugar or maybe make with seltzer instead of ginger ale.

    This was refreshing, slightly sparkling and a big hit with husband and kids. I used half the sugar, a bit more melon and less ginger ale. I like the suggestion below to try it with seltzer. Mine separated a bit when the ice melted - going to try it with more ice next time.
