Once again, I wish I had read the other reviews. The final outcome was quite good...BUT that was after I added a second Mango, about a 1/4 cup of the simple syrup, and actually added a fair amount of ice which I added to the blender and blended with the other ingredients. The original outcome was too tart (too much lime juice and very alcoholic...could hardly taste the mangoes. After the significant amendments it was really quite good. I also used a little amber rum as part of the 3/4 cup of rum (about 1/2cup white 1/4 cup amber.
So I guess a three star review is about right.

My mangos were super ripe and sweet, so I did not have any issues with the sweetness of the drinks. However, the amount of rum was WAY too much. I am definitely a fan of strong drinks, but this was just way too strong. Half the amount of rum was about right after I adjusted the recipe. Even that was still on the strong side. I will definitely make again, but with about half the rum.

I agree with the other reviewers: I think the final outcome was wonderful, but only because I had to spend significant time fixing it. I love a strong drink, but I thought there was WAY too much rum - I would halve it next time. And I would definitely add more simple syrup, according to your taste preference. But I love fresh mango, so I will make it again!
