Ingredients
- 1 ripe mango, peeled, seeded and chopped
- 1/4 cup lime juice (2 limes)
- 1 teaspoon sugar syrup
- 3/4 cup white rum
- Crushed Ice
Directions
Place the mango, lime juice, sugar syrup and rum in a blender and process until smooth.
Pour the mixture over a glass full of crushed ice.
Note: To make sugar syrup, heat 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan until the sugar dissolves.

I agree with the other reviewers: I think the final outcome was wonderful, but only because I had to spend significant time fixing it. I love a strong drink, but I thought there was WAY too much rum - I would halve it next time. And I would definitely add more simple syrup, according to your taste preference. But I love fresh mango, so I will make it again!

not sure what happened to these, we had to do quite a bit of doctoring to make these drinkable, i won't be making these again

I would have given it 5 stars if the recipe was correct...I was a bartender and there is no way this recipe should read only a teaspoon of simple syrup. Simple syrup is typical measured in fractions of shots and a teaspoon is about the equivalent of a "splash"..."splashes" are reserved for ingredients like bitters, especially for a recipe that serves 4 people. For this recipesI would use a scant 1/4 cup depending on the sweetness of the mangos. Otherwise it is bitter and NOT delicious (and I like sour drinks.
