Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Spray an 8 by 8-inch glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Mix the coconut and condensed milk in a bowl until combined. Press the mixture into the prepared baking dish, and bake until the coconut is evenly browned and crisp at the edges, about 20 minutes. Cool slightly, and cut into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.

    This was a disaster! It was extremely dry and falling apart. Going into making it, I had doubts on how can half a cup of liquid be enough to hold 5+cups of the coconut. After baking, I had to take off the top and re-bake the whole thing with an entire additional can of condensed milk and egg whites . This time it held together.
