- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
- 2 teaspoons orange zest
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup dry white wine, optional
- 3 cups seltzer water
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
In a medium saucepan, heat the sugar, cranberry sauce, orange zest, and water over medium heat until it comes to a boil. Simmer for 3 minutes and then remove from the heat. Allow to sit for at least 30 minutes, then chill.
Place ice into 4 glasses; pour 1/4 cup cranberry syrup into each glass. Add 1/4 cup white wine, if using, the juice from a wedge of lemon and 3/4 cup seltzer to each glass.
