I tried this recipe today, and I must say it was delicious! I did switch up the recipe slightly, by adding two eggs for richness and using monterey jack cheese blend (already shredded for the topping. I will be using this recipe again, but will experiment with an additional cheese for a much more creamier consistency.

I've made the recipe a lot. Use extra sharp and grate it yourself for best results. Also for those who want it creamier, I add a can of condensed cheese. Everyone loves it, especially the bacon!

I've been trying to find a good homemade mac & cheese recipe for the longest and came across this recipe. I made it for the first time this thanksgiving and it was an absolute HIT! It was delish!! I like my mac really really cheesy so when me and hubby make it tomorrow together for my birthday, I'm going to double the cheese and I'll also add some sharp cheddar to give it more kick. Also the first time I made it, instead of putting the parmesan on top with the bacon and chips, I blended it in with the sauce. Great!!!My hubby used to not like mac & cheese until now so this is definitely going to be a regular recipe in my book. Thank you Neeleys for the awesome recipe!!!!!
