Ingredients

  • 1 magnum bottle Sauvignon Blanc, chilled
  • 2/3 cup peach schnapps
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 to 2 large Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored and diced
  • 1 orange, sliced, plus slices, for garnish
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Ice cubes
  • Club soda

Directions

Add all the ingredients to a large pitcher. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 3 hours for the flavors to meld.

*Cook's Note: You may serve immediately, but like any sangria, the longer it sits the more the fruit and juices can absorb the flavor.

Add ice to wine glasses and add the sangria. Top with a splash of club soda and garnish with an orange slice

In a panic to find a good white sangria that I could make and serve within a couple of hours. This was it! The peach schnapps were a key ingredient.. didn't have sauvignon blanc but had a magnum of some white wine (I think it was a pinot which wasn't great for drinking ---- the sangria certainly fixed that problem!

Served it at a dinner party on a hot evening and it was a hit!

Made this for a party we're having tonight. I bought one magnum of sauvignon blanc and sent hubby to the store for a 2nd (one didn't even reach the spigot of the dispenser I'm using. He came home with pinot grigio. So we went with it and added extra peach schnapps to give it a more "peachy" tone. It's YUMMY! This will be a summer staple for us. Next time I'm going to try it with a riesling as someone suggested below.
