In a skillet, heat a drizzle of oil over medium-high heat, when hot add bacon and pepper and cook the bacon until crisp, 5 minutes. Add beans to bacon and cook about 3 to 5, tossing. Season with vinegar and sugar prior to serving.

    These are not only the best green beans going...they are undoubtedly the easiest, too. Fresh beans, canned beans, frozen beans.....and any kind of bacon. You just cannot go wrong. For those who find the vinegar to be too strong...try Rice Wine Vinegar. Simply fabulous!

    The first time I made these I used frozen green beans. (The beans in the store were bad looking. I cooked them first in the microwave (they were in a steamer pouch. I didn't add the vinegar or sugar.

    The second time I made the beans, I used fresh beans and I followed the recipe. I used about a teaspoon of red wine vinegar and I used baking sugar because that's what I had. These beans turned out great!

    These are incredible...and incredibly easy! I substitute rice vinegar for the other kind...it is milder and adds a wonderful taste!
