Ingredients

  • 2 medium zucchini cut into 1/4-inch square 3-inch long sticks -- like fries
  • Vegetable cooking spray
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon grill seasoning
  • 1 cup chili sauce or mild taco sauce

Directions

Preheat oven to 500 degrees F.

Arrange zucchini on nonstick cookie sheet. Spray zucchini with cooking spray. Combine spices and sprinkle over the zucchini fries. Place in very hot oven and cook 15 to 18 minutes. Serve hot. Top with spoonfuls of chili sauce or taco sauce.

    Definitely doesn't need as much seasoning as listed. Otherwise, an interesting side dish/appetizer. I most likely would not make it again unless I happened to have zucchini that I needed to get rid of or something.

    I make these at least once a week. I cook them a little longer than the recipe indicates, until they are golden brown. I can eat 5 zucchini's myself. So delicious. This is staple in my house.

    I liked these zucchini fries. It was easy and tasty. And a nice twist on making zuchinni.

    I keep looking for new ways to make zucchini and so far my favorite ways are Paula Dean's amazing Zucchini Bread and Ina Garten's Zucchini pancakes!
