Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 package frozen Mrs. T's Potato and Roasted Garlic pierogis
  • Blue cheese, salad dressing, optional
  • Celery sticks, optional

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. In a medium bowl, combine hot sauce, oil, and chili powder. Add frozen pierogis. Toss until well coated. Arrange on prepared baking sheet. Bake until golden and crisp, about 20 minutes, turning after 10 minutes. Serve with blue cheese salad dressing and celery sticks, if desired.

    I was so excited to find a recipe that was quick and easy with two of my favorite things--pierogis and hot sauce. I was, however, slightly disappointing--they aren't as good as you would hope. But it's fast and easy, the flavor is acceptable but nothing to brag about.

    It wasn't as good as it sounded. I prefer the pierogis the "regular" way - fried in some butter/oil till a light golden brown.
