This martini was inspired by the umami flavor you get from the colutura, a fish sauce made in Italy from anchovies. It’s essentially the famous James Bond Cocktail, the Vesper with a few tricks.

Ingredients

Directions

Special equipment:
a piping bag; 4 chilled martini glasses
  1. Put the Gorgonzola into a piping bag and stuff the olives.
  2. Combine the vodka, gin, vermouth and bitters in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake very very hard until super cold. Wipe the rims of 4 chilled martini glasses with the lemon and orange peels, then drop the peels into the glasses. Strain the cocktail into the glasses and garnish with the stuffed olives. Add 3 drops colutura to the middle of each martini. There you have it.
