Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 ripe avocados, pitted and peeled
  • 1 large bunch fresh basil leaves (about 3 ounces)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 6 pieces whole-grain toast
Directions
  • In a food processor, pulse together the walnuts, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, avocados and basil until smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste. Spread onto each piece of toast. Serve immediately.
