What started as an ice-cream stand in 1959 has grown into a comfort food chain offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as desserts made from family recipes. One standout is the whoopie pie, which features a filling rich with butter, confectioners’ sugar and Marshmallow Fluff. There’s also the all-spoons-on-deck Federal Deficit: a banana split, brownie delight and strawberry shortcake sundae.
