"One of sour, two of sweet, three of strong, four of weak, and a little spice" are the keys to this super-refreshing Caribbean favorite. The punch features fresh-squeezed lime juice, molasses-tinged Jamaican rum, orange, and pineapple—plus a touch of herbaceous sorrel.

Ingredients

1/2 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed

1 ounce Simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water)

1 1/2 ounces rum (Jamaican pot still variety)

3/4 ounce orange juice

3/4 ounce pineapple juice

1/2 ounce sorrel syrup (or grenadine)

4 dashes angostura bitters

Nutmeg, fresh (grated on top)

Directions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, add lime juice, simple syrup, rum, orange juice, pineapple juice, and sorrel syrup. Fill with ice, cover and shake. Strain into a tall glass with ice. Top with Angostura bitters and fresh nutmeg. Serve.
