store-bought eggnog (equal parts)

Cook’s Note

"In the autumn, this is my favorite drink to fix when I finally get home and get to relax," says Joy Perrine, a fifth-generation bartender who now works at Jack's Lounge in Louisville, KY. and has won three Brown-Forman drink-invention contests. Perrine has two cautions about the recipe, though: "Use the processed eggnog mix, like Dean's or Kroger brand, so you're not taking a chance with unprocessed eggs," she says. "And don't mix the drink in large quantities, because the acid in the cider breaks down the eggnog pretty quickly. Just make a cup or two at a time."
