Ingredients
1-ounce brandy
1-ounce rum
1/2-ounce Cointreau
4 ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice
Simple syrup, to taste*
Serving suggestion: Garnish with fresh pomegranate seeds or an orange twist
Directions
- Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker using simple syrup to sweeten to taste. Shake vigorously with ice. Pour into a chilled cocktail glass over ice.
Cook’s Note
*Sugar syrup is a solution of equal parts sugar and water that is cooked over low heat until clear, then boiled for about minute. Cool and store in a squeeze bottle and use to sweeten drinks, to taste.
