Black Forest Iced Tea

Ingredients

1/4 cup black tea leaves

1 heaping tablespoon best-quality cocoa powder, such as Callebaut

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 

1 cup black cherry juice 

Splash skim milk 

Black cherries, pitted, for garnish 

Directions

  1. Combine the tea leaves, cocoa and cinnamon in a large French press. Add 4 cups boiling water and wait 5 minutes; press. Pour into a pitcher and refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours.
  2. Stir in the cherry juice. Serve over ice with a splash of skim milk. Garnish with fresh cherries.

This is like nothing I have ever had before. I used a splash of Italian sweet cream coffee creamer (because that’s what I had on hand and the tea isn’t sweet) worked perfectly. Yum
