Caviar served on Ice Cubes

Ingredients

1 cup coarse salt

12 ice cubes

1-ounce caviar (your choice of fancy imported or economic lumpfish)

Directions

  1. Spread salt over a serving plate. Place ice cubes on plate. Spoon 1/2 teaspoon of caviar on each ice cube. Serve immediately.

I tried this with a few close friends and it didn't go over too well. We put it in our mouths, sucked the caviar off and it seemed pretty useless. Inventive, perhaps. Practical and tasty, not really. It did look fairly pretty, however.
