Cherry Sorbet

Ingredients

6 cups frozen pitted cherries

1/4 cup sugar

1 lemon, juiced

Directions

  1. Combine sugar and cherries and refrigerate overnight. Place mixture into a blender and puree until smooth. Add lemon juice and pulse until combined. Pour mixture into ice cream machine and churn according to manufacturer's instructions.

Very healthy - a nice way to serve a guilt-less dessert.  But in reality it takes more than 20 minutes.  Cleaning and pitting a bagful of fruit, then blending it to a puree took me a boatload of time.  Not a decadent sorbet, but refreshing.
