Cowboy Chili

Ingredients

4 tablespoons chili powder

4 tablespoons paprika

2 teaspoons ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

4 teaspoons salt

6 tablespoons all-purpose flour

4 pounds ground beef

6 cups water

Directions

  1. Mix chili powder, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and flour together in a small bowl. Brown meat over medium-high heat in a 6-quart pot or 14-inch Dutch oven. Add spice mixture and stir well. Add water gradually and stir well. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 45 minutes.

Tasted great, but I halved the recipe and made a few changes. Added 1 tsp oregano and 1 tsp Cajun seasoning, only used 1 tsp salt. Used half water/half spaghetti sauce. Added in a couple handfuls of frozen corn near the end.
