Spiced Nuts

Ingredients

1 egg white

1/4 cup sugar 

1 1/2 teaspoons ras el hanout (Moroccan spice blend)

1 teaspoon kosher salt

3/4 cup cashews 

3/4 cup pecan halves 

3/4 cup pistachios

3/4 cup walnut halves

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.
  2. In a bowl, whisk the egg white until thick and frothy. Add the sugar, ras el hanout and salt and stir to combine. Add the cashews, pecans, pistachios and walnuts and stir to coat with the egg white mixture.
  3. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the nuts to two baking sheets. Bake until golden brown and crunchy, 25 to 30 minutes, stirring halfway. Cool and store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.

I have made this recipe a couple of times this year and will be making it again to give as hostess gifts. We love the spice so much, I doubled it.
