Directions

  1. Cut 1 pound pizza dough into 4 pieces; flatten each into a 4-inch square. Cut each square into 4 strips; tie each strip into a knot. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet, brush with olive oil and loosely cover with plastic wrap; let rise 1 hour. Uncover and bake at 400 degrees F until golden, 12 to 15 minutes. Combine 3 tablespoons butter, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 3 minced garlic cloves, 2 anchovy fillets, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes in a saucepan over medium heat; cook 1 to 2 minutes. Toss the knots with the butter and 3 tablespoons minced parsley; sprinkle with grated Parmesan.

These were delish!!!! I did a trial run because I want to make them for my husbands birthday party dinner this weekend and I'm glad I did. I get to eat them twice in one week :) I did strain the butter, anchovie, oil, garlic goodness because I couldn't get the anchovies to completely dissolve and I didn't want anyone to ask what it was. I did add the garlic back into the sauce though. The bottom of the knots got a little too crispy so a little less baking time next time but other then that, PERFECTION!
