Ingredients

2 tablespoons finely ground coffee

Directions

  1. Add 1 cup water to your pot and bring it to a boil over high heat. Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for 30 seconds. (This will lower the water temperature to 200 degrees F.)
  2. Stir the coffee into the water. Let the brew sit for 2 minutes and stir again, then let it sit for 2 more minutes.
  3. Sprinkle a little cold water on the grounds. Slowly pour the coffee, leaving behind the ground in the bottom of the pot.

At an AirBnb with no drip coffee pot for my Pete’s Major Dickenson ground coffee! What to do? I pulled up this recipe for Cowboy coffee and am sipping a delightful brew while watching the fog lift across Hood Canal to reveal the Olympics.
