Ingredients

2 peaches

2 nectarines

2 plums

Fresh mint leaves

1 cup maple syrup

1 cup cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon orange extract

Directions

Special equipment:
wooden skewers
  1. Cut the fruit into bite sized chunks. Thread a piece of each fruit onto a skewer along with a mint leaf. Set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, add the maple syrup. Whisk in the cocoa powder until the mixture is smooth. Stir in the orange extract and cook until hot. Don't let it come to a boil. Spoon into a serving dish and serve immediately as a dipping sauce with the fruit skewers.

Cook’s Note

Use whatever fruits are in season: berries, apples, pears, citrus, or dried fruit are all delightful.

I made this for a party, but my four year old son and I think it's not quite good enough for company and it should stay home so we can eat it. Just not good enough for company LOL.<br />Now I've got to launder the chocolate off our shirts. Yum.
