Homemade Croutons

Ingredients

Day old French bread

Olive oil

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Cut bread into cubes and place in a large bowl. Drizzle cubes with olive oil, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
  3. Spread seasoned bread onto a sheet pan and bake for about 15 minutes.

Love this! Makes throwing away bread obsolete. I’d love to have more measurements but… Guessing it’s OK too. Use 400° oven, used gluten-free bread, wasn’t all that “old” but came out beautifully. Used garlic powder, kosher salt.
