Horseradish Sauce

Ingredients

3 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons flour

1 cup milk

2 to 3 tablespoons white horseradish

1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon white wine vinegar

2 to 4 tablespoons sour cream, optional

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan, melt butter. When foaming subsides, stir in flour and cook, stirring continuously for about a minute or two. Whisk in the milk, bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Add horseradish, mustard and vinegar and remove from heat. Stir in sour cream and season with salt and pepper.
