Ingredients

1 box graham crackers

1 bag marshmallows

4 bars good quality milk chocolate (recommended: Scharffen Berger)

Halloween cookie cutters

Directions

  1. Lay the graham crackers in a single layer on a microwave-safe plate. Heat them in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute on high.
  2. Using a metal cookie cutter, cut the graham crackers into a Halloween shape (pumpkins, bats, cats, and eyeballs without too many little details work best).
  3. Light a hibachi on a table near your door. Make sure there is fireproof stone underneath to prevent melting things. Next to the hibachi, put some wooden skewers. Set out a tray of the marshmallows, graham cracker shapes and chocolate near the hibachi.
  4. Encourage trick or treaters to make their own s'mores at the door!

Way too dangerous for a huge crowd at your door pushing their way closer to the open flames in their highly accessorized and possibly non flame retardant home made costumes. Parents like to stand at end of driveway and watch their young kids run to the door with excitement..... not panic seeing their five year olds running for an open flame! Maybe package the dry ingredients in a fun, festive cellophane baggie and let the parents help the child at home with appropriate supervision?
