Pineapple Jalapeño Margaritas

We serve these margaritas at Mabel’s BBQ in the summer and literally can’t make them fast enough. Everyone loves the balance of the heat and sweetness, but I’m warning you to proceed with caution as they can be potent!

Ingredients

Ice

2 cups fresh pineapple juice

1 1/2 cups your favorite blanco tequila

3/4 cup fresh lime juice

3/4 cup orange liqueur, such as Cointreau

2 to 3 fresh jalapeños, sliced into rings

Lime wedges, for serving

Kosher salt, for serving

Directions

  1. To a pitcher filled with ice, add the pineapple juice, tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur and sliced jalapeños. Stir to combine. Wet the edges of 8 rocks glasses with lime wedges, then press the rims into the salt. Fill each glass with ice and pour in the margarita. Serve.
