I’ve made the original recipe for years since I saw this on the food network over 10 years ago created by the original creator Randall family,my picky family  loves it. But the ORIGINAL recipe had apple cider vinegar and dark Karo syrup. I have to double the recipe. As far as bland if you make it Original it isn’t bland. I do add the ALL the xtra ingredients, the worcestershire , bbq sauce, catsup, mustard, add flavor, except the green pepper and celery. I top it off with cole slaw no lettuce and I use pork and beans instead of baked beans which are bland. I put it on burger buns and top with sharp cheddar. I would love the original recipe if anyone from the Randall’s can submit it.
