It’s basically a full fiesta in a glass.

A good margarita goes down waaaaay too easily. But an Austin restaurant found a way to extend the buzz.

Wild Chix & Waffles — which specializes in its namesake chicken and waffles — added the Giant Clucking Margarita to its menu in April. The concoction comes in an enourmous 48-ounce goblet, and is designed to be shared among friends. Made with El Jimador tequila, triple sec and fresh lime juice, it can be served frozen or on the rocks, and is served with silly straws for convivial cocktailing. The margarita is usually sold for $29, though during daily happy hours, from 2 to 6 p.m., it’s discounted to $15.

Owner Wendy Wu says it's ideal for sprucing up date date night or pre-gaming before a night out. Pair it with food, like Waffle Nachos, made with waffle fries, queso, bacon, sour cream, and jalapenos, or the signature savory waffle, What the Cluck, with maple-glazed fried chicken, a sunny-side-up egg, thick-cut bacon, cheese and sriracha mayo.
