Insanely, teeth-wretchingly sweet! yeech! Prosecco? AND add sugar?!? AND add Grand Marnier?!?
I prefer the following - equal parts:
brut champagne
fresh squeezed blood oranges
..too simple to even require a recipe card..

These lean to being quite a sweet combo. Good flavors but overall a tad sweet for the tastbuds in my household. If you prefer a more tart / sweet blood orange and sparkling beverage, try Alex Guranschelli's blood orange and Cava cocktail, called Cava Cocktail in the recipe title, also on this Food Network web site. Those are the favorites at my house.

I served this mimosa at the "Royal Wedding Party". Everyone loved it. Fresh blood oranges were out of season so I used the bottled verison, omitted the added sugar and it worked fine. My husband didn't attend the "Royal Wedding Party" but enjoyed the Mimosa later. I would highly recommend.
