Directions

Whisk 1/2 cup heavy cream (ideally extra-cold), 1/4 cup marshmallow fluff and 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract until stiff peaks form; set aside. Combine 1 cup cold whole milk and 1/4 cup chocolate sauce in a blender. Add 3 cups chocolate ice cream; blend until smooth. Fill 4 glasses one-quarter of the way with the shake; add some marshmallow cream, then more milkshake, then cream, then milkshake. Finish with a dollop of marshmallow cream and garnish with grated bittersweet chocolate.

Awesome, awesome milkshake!! Mine didn't quite come out like the picture thought. The fluff part came out more like a thin syrup and mixed in with the chocolatey shake part, so I didn't get the layered look, but it was still delicious.

My five year old niece who is an extremely picky eater came up to me later in the day and whispered into my ear "I really liked that milkshake". So cute!

My sister thought it was a little too sweet for her, but still really good. I thought it tasted like it came out of an old fashioned malt shop. All in all, everyone emjoyed it thoroughly and there was no leftover milkshake!

OMG! This is AWESOME! I am extremely lactose-intollerant, and the thing I have craved more than anything is a choco shake. I've even been known to partake on occasion anyway, then taken Lactaid capsules to try to counter it, only to end up with extreme digestive issues for days afterwards. I was able to make this recipe, substituting soy milk, soy creamer, and soy "ice cream," and still end up with a finished product I'd dare anyone to claim wasn't the real thing. Thank you. Bobby, thank you THANK YOU for this fantastic recipe! I am soooooooooo making it all the time.

Oh dear. Now I'm gonna get fat. Oh wait -- I forgot -- there're no calories in soy . . . right?
