Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups plus 4 cups pomegranate juice
  • 1 (46-ounce) can unsweetened pineapple juice, chilled
  • 2 cups ginger ale, chilled
  • 2 cups seltzer, chilled
  • 2 cups pisco, chilled

Directions

Pour 1 1/2 cups pomegranate juice into an ice cube tray and freeze overnight.

In a large bowl, mix the remaining 4 cups pomegranate juice, the pineapple juice, ginger ale, seltzer and pisco. Add the pomegranate ice cubes and serve in your favorite punch bowl.

What Makes This Recipe Really Sing: Don't you just love when you go to a party and there is a specialty cocktail? (For some reason it always makes me happy.) This makes enough for a large crowd, this way everyone gets one or two and you don't have to work during the party. Pisco trivia also makes for great "Did ya know ...." conversation starters.

BYOC: Feel free to throw in some pomegranate seeds on top. They will look like little jewels floating in your punch bowl. If you don't have a punch bowl and are serving this out of a pitcher you can garnish your glasses with pineapple slices. If you can't find pisco you can always use light rum

I made this punch for my husband's 60th birthday party. It was a huge hit. I wish I had doubled the recipe as so many people loved it I had to hand out the recipe to people after the party. It was so pretty I actually rented a mirrored base and large crystal punch bowl to display it in. It is delicious and I highly recommend it....it would also be great for Valentine's Day or a summer get together too as it is very refreshing. The pisco was a little pricey but I tried it with rum and it was not near as good after I had run out of the pisco. Splurge you will not regret it.
