Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 scallion, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Parmesan
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley leaves
  • Hot sauce, to taste
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 French baguette

Directions

In a small bowl, mix butter together with garlic, scallion, Parmesan, parsley, hot sauce and salt and pepper, to taste. Preheat broiler with rack 4 inches from heat. Slice baguette horizontally. Spread butter on both halves. Place on a sheet pan and toast under the broiler, about 2 minutes.

    This was a big hit at the pot luck I took it to. Everyone loved it and I got emails asking for the recipe days later.

    I also used two roasted garlic bulbs and the bread was amazing. It's the only garlic bread we have now and everyone who eats it wants the recipe. I found that the recipe makes enough butter for two loaves which is great.

    Easy substituted olive oil for 1 of the sticks of butter and a little more parmesan. Fabulous!
