Ingredients
- 1/2 cup virgin olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt
- 1 loaf Italian bread, sliced into 1/4-inch slices
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
Directions
Preheat grill to low-medium heat.
In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, basil and salt. Brush both sides of the bread with the olive oil and garlic mixture.
Place the bread on the grill and grill both sides, until golden and crisp; about 5 minutes. Sprinkle the top with cheese and place in the broiler until bubbly and golden, if inside. If outside, cover the grill and cook until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve immediately.

Yummy! I make it in the toaster oven when not already grilling. My own piece has about 3 cloves on it so it is really a cheesy, garlic delight.

This is my favorite garlic bread recipe. I make it every week. It's easy to make and the flavor is excellent. Thanks Neelys!

I've made this twice since watching the show and it's a great recipe. Using the shredded mozzarella cheese is a must. The second time I also added some crumbled bleu cheese and it was a really good flavor. I highly recommend this!
