I loved this receipe. I am a mac and cheese kind of girl but I love spicy stuff also. This receipe was quick/easy and spicy... which I love! I would definitly recommend it to anyone especially if you want to take things you already have in your cabinet and not have to go to the store, thats exactly what I didRead more

no such thing as mexican mac and cheese

Rated: 1 stars out of 5
Ok, when I first came across this recipe, I knew it would be a rip-off. Due to my mexican culture, I can officially announce... that there is no such thing as mexican mac and cheese. We do cook dishes made of macaroni pasta but those dishes are made up of entirely different ingredients. We have dishes like sopa y carnita which is any sort of pasta with added spices and chopped guisada or ground beef. Typically, in a traditional hispanic/mexican household, we hardly ever use macaroni pasta in our dishes, unless we are cooking plain ol' fashioned mac and cheese.Read more

Worst thing I ever put in my mouth

This recipe was incredibly dry and flavorless. The tortilla topping was terrible, the sauce dried up in the oven, which makes... sense, since it's a sauce that comes with box macaroni and cheese. The ground turkey did not add to the dish at all, and the whole thing tasted like corn.Read more

I thought this looked a little boring so I added a few more things for "kick" I couldn't find Mexican spice blend so I just... used some taco seasoning. I also added some salsa, cilantro, ground beef and crushed up fritos for crunch. Warning, though if you use fritos like I did, they will be soggy if you re-heat it later.Read more

    Mexican mac and cheese

I will either make mac and cheese by scratch or just boil elbow mac and use Velveeta cheese and melt that with a little... milk.Makes it creamier. It may taste better if the mac and cheese had more cheese sauce. If you make the box........add shredded cheese to it while still super hot and a little more milk.Makes it smooth and really cheesy.Read more
