Ingredients

  • 1 (#10) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (#10) can tomato sauce
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 12 jalapenos, chopped
  • 1 cup diced green peppers
  • 2 ounces seasoned salt
  • 12 ounces crushed red pepper
  • 2 ounces taco seasoning
  • 12 ounces cayenne pepper
  • 1 ounces granulated garlic
  • 4 ounces cilantro
  • 4 (12-ounce) beef patties
  • Mozzarella, Texas toast, lettuce, sour cream, for garnish

Directions

Mix all ingredients in a larger container. Chill. The Thurman Cafe uses the Salsa on a 12-ounce burger that has been fried and topped with 3 ounces of mozzarella cheese and served open-faced on Texas Toast on a bed of lettuce. Add a side of sour cream, and you have the Thurman Salsa Burger.
