this was a very nice and healthy side dish to the sesame chicken i made last night. the only thing i would say was that i found the rice needed a little more water in the cooking process (i added about 1/2 cup more. i've been told that brown rice usually takes three times the amount of rice for water (instead of the regular 2:1 ratio like for other types of rice but i decided to just follow the recipe here. it made for a somewhat sticky rice that i usually wouldn't like, but somehow with the sesame chicken it just really worked. will definitely remember this for another time, very simple.
