Brown Rice

Ingredients

3 strips bacon

1/2 cup chopped green onions, including tops

1 cup diced celery

1 cup sliced mushrooms

3 cups cooked white rice

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 egg, slightly beaten

Directions

  1. Fry the bacon in a large skillet. Remove from skillet, drain on a paper towel and crumble. Place the onions and the celery in the bacon drippings and saute until tender. Add the mushrooms, rice, and soy sauce. Cover, and cook for 10 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally. Stir in the beaten egg and cook until the egg is done. Add the bacon and mix well. Extra soy sauce may be added.
