Wine-Soaked Fruit with Mascarpone Snowman
- 1 honeydew melon
- 1 apple
- 1 small clemetine orange
- 1 cup Chianti
- 6 ounces mascarpone cheese
- 2 egg whites
- 1 dozen shelled pistachio nuts
- 2 cinnamon sticks
Begin by making a flat incision on the bottom of each of the fruits, then scoop out the inside of the fruits and combine them in a bowl with the Chianti. Let stand for 1 hour. To make the snowman, stack the melon, apple, and orange. Mix the mascarpone with egg whites to create the icing for the snowman. Smear the fruit with mascarpone. Attach arms of snowman with toothpicks using cocoa sticks or cinnamon sticks and pistachios for eyes and buttons. To plate, placed soaked fruit in a wide bowl, then place snowman on top.
