Chocolate Oat Milk

Chocolate milk on cereal might seem like a no-no, but when you make chocolate oat milk yourself, you can choose to add just the barest amount of sweetener — or even none at all. Now you can feel good about having chocolate for breakfast!

Ingredients

1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)

2 tablespoons dry rolled oats 

1 tablespoon cocoa powder 

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 

1 teaspoon sweetener of your choice, such as granulated sugar or light agave syrup (optional)  

Directions

  1. Puree the milk, oats, cocoa powder, vanilla and sweetener if using in a blender until completely smooth. The chocolate oat milk can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
